8tracks is in many opinions (including my own) the best music site on the inter-webs. Better than Pandora?… YES! And for one simple reason -> Variety. The variety of music you can get with 8tracks is unbeatable because the playlists are human made and not driven by algorithms like Pandora and other internet radio sites. If I want to hear tracks that are joyous like spring time you can find playlist with exactly those types of joyous tracks, as long as someone has made it, and with 233072 mixes (and counting), you will definitely find a mix to fit your mood!
I remember thinking about a year and a half ago “Why doesn’t 8tracks have an iPhone app?”. Well, last week my prayers were answered, they finally launched their app and it works like a charm. You have all the functionality you do on the website, minus actually being able to create a mix. That would be sweet… but not necessary. Maybe the mix creation feature will come with a further update.
